Rift Valley increases Dalafuma gold resource by 40,000 ounces

Rift Valley Resources Ltd. updated resources for the Dalafuma gold deposit at its Miyabi property in Tanzania, with contained gold increasing by 40,000 ounces.

The Dalafuma deposit now hosts indicated and inferred resources containing 208,000 ounces of gold within 1.8 million tonnes grading 3.6 g/t of gold, according to the Jan. 31 statement.

Overall, Miyabi hosts indicated and inferred resources containing 745,000 ounces within 14.9 million tonnes grading 1.6 g/t of gold.

The update estimate incorporates data from drilling completed in 2016. The company initiated a 3,000 meter reverse circulation drill program at Miyabi in June 2016, aiming to expand resources.

Rift Valley is planning further drilling at Dalafuma, where the main high-grade zone remains open in several areas.
