Emmerson ResourcesLtd. said April 12 that it started a 2,000-meter reverse-circulationdrilling program at its TennantCreek copper project in Northern Territory, Australia.
The drill campaign will focus on near mine targets at Edna Berylwest and Susan, plus a newly generated greenfields project called Rhodes, the companysaid.
Predevelopment drilling at Edna Beryl previously confirmed the extremely high-grade nature of themineralization, with intercepts of 1.83 meters with grades of 139.7 g/t, 309.5 g/tand 93.4 g/t of gold.
The program is fully funded under the A$15 million earn-in with the Emmerson's jointventure partner, Evolution MiningLtd.
If the drill campaign is successful, the company will conducta second campaign on the new exploration license 31249 once it is formally granted,Managing Director Rob Bills added.
