Aryzta AG said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Jan. 31 came to 39 euro cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of €1.67 per share.
EPS increased 37.5% year over year from 28 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €35.4 million, a gain of 38.4% from €25.6 million in the prior-year period.
Total revenue increased 13.6% year over year to €2.39 billion from €2.10 billion, and total operating expenses increased 12.3% on an annual basis to €2.29 billion from €2.04 billion.
Reported net income increased 64.2% from the prior-year period to €43.2 million, or 48 cents per share, from €26.3 million, or 29 cents per share.
