Duke Energy Renewables adds another 30 MW of solar to portfolio

Duke Energy Renewables Inc. has added 30 MW of solar to itsNorth Carolina portfolio after entering an agreement with Community Energy Inc. to acquire six, 5-MW solar projects.

The Duke Energy Corp. subsidiary did not disclose financial termsof the deal in its May 2 news release.

Each of Tarboro , Winton, Woodland,Gaston and facility is in servicewith the Seaboardproject set to come online this month.

Output from the projects is sold toDominion North Carolina Power under 15-year agreements. Dominion North CarolinaPower is known legally as VirginiaElectric and Power Co., a DominionResources Inc. subsidiary.
