Sherritt International names new CFO

Sherritt International Corp. said Dec. 15 that it appointed Andrew Snowden as CFO and senior vice president, effective Jan. 1, 2017.

Snowden, who has been with the company since 2012, will replace Dean Chambers, who will remain as executive vice president to ensure a smooth transition before retiring March 31, 2017.

In late November, Sherritt revised down its nickel production guidance for the year to between 32,500 tonnes and 33,000 tonnes, compared to original guidance of 33,500 tonnes to 34,500 tonnes, from its 50%-owned Moa Bay joint venture in Cuba.
