Ferrexpo PLC produced 2.7 million tonnes of pellets in the third quarter, up 5.9% from 2.5 million tonnes produced in the second quarter.

Production of 65% iron pellets increased 6.3% quarter over quarter to 2.5 million tonnes, according to an Oct. 9 release.

The company said the production boost reflected the completion of pellet line refurbishment in the second quarter.

Total pellet production was also up 1.3% for the first nine months compared to the prior year.
