Mizuho Bank Nederland to change name

Mizuho BankLtd. unit Mizuho Bank Nederland NV will change its trade name toMizuho Bank Europe NV by the end of the current fiscal year.

The Japanese bank said July 25 that the name change reflectsthe unit's role as a region-wide financial partner that not only covers theNetherlands, but also several European countries. The name change is pendingapproval from the relevant authorities.

In addition, Mizuho Bank Nederland plans to convert itsMadrid representative office into a full branch. The move aims to enhance thelender's network in the Iberian Peninsula and to further accelerate itsbusiness strategy across Europe.

Mizuho Bank is a unit of Mizuho Financial Group Inc.
