Bladex replacing CEO, CFO

Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior SA tapped its current COO to succeed Rubens Amaral Jr. as the company's chief executive, the company said Dec. 18.

The Panama-based bank said Gabriel Tolchinsky, who was a consultant with the bank before becoming COO in May, will take over as CEO following Amaral's resignation April 30, 2018. Amaral was appointed CEO in 2012.

Additionally, Ana Graciela de Méndez will become Bladex's new CFO, succeeding Christopher Schech, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

Méndez has served as the development bank's senior vice president of finance since 2014.
