AutoCanada Q3 profit climbs 17.4% YOY

4912706 said its normalized net income for the third quarter came to 44 Canadian cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 49 cents per share.

EPS rose year over year from 42 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was C$12.2 million, a gain of 17.4% from C$10.4 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 1.6% from 1.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell year over year to C$753.2 million from C$781.2 million, and total operating expenses decreased on an annual basis to C$728.3 million from C$752.5 million.
