As expected, investor Peter Currie and Chernin Group CEOPeter Chernin are exiting TwitterInc.'s board.
Hugh Johnston and Martha Lane Fox will succeed Currie andChernin as members of the board. The company said in an April 8 SEC filing thatCurrie and Chernin had requested the nominating and corporate governancecommittee and the board to not consider them for re-election. The two exitingdirectors will remain on the board until the conclusion of Twitter's 2016annual stockholders meeting.
Johnston, who has been vice chairman and CFO of PepsiCo Inc.since July 2015 and March 2010, respectively, was also named to the auditcommittee. He will take over as the chair of the audit committee following the2016 annual meeting of stockholders.
Since August 2005, Lane Fox has served as the founder andchairperson of private karaoke company Lucky Voice, and since September 2012 asthe chairperson of 3D printing and game company MakieLab.
Johnston and Lane Fox will serve in the class of directorswhose term expires at the annual meeting of stockholders to be held in 2016 and2018, respectively.
