France's trade deficit widens in April

France's trade deficit widened to €5.54 billion in April from €4.78 billion in March, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies.

Exports declined to 38.28 billion from 39.49 billion the previous month, and imports decreased to 43.81 billion from 44.27 billion.

The current account deficit widened to €3.06 billion in April from €2.07 billion the previous month. The goods trade deficit increased to €3.75 billion from €3.37 billion, and the services trade surplus narrowed to 83 million in April from 630 million in March.
