Mc Group profit misses consensus by 39.9% in Q3

Mc Group Public Company Ltd said its third-quarter normalized net income amounted to 9 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 16 satang per share.

EPS decreased 14.4% year over year from 11 satang.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 74.5 million baht, a decrease of 14.4% from 87.1 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 9.2% from 11.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 6.1% on an annual basis to 810.6 million baht from 764.4 million baht, and total operating expenses climbed 11.3% on an annual basis to 692.3 million baht from 622.3 million baht.

Reported net income decreased 17.1% year over year to 112.6 million baht, or 14 satang per share, from 135.9 million baht, or 17 satang per share.

As of Nov. 11, US$1 was equivalent to 35.84 baht.
