Ventas director to retire in May

Ventas Inc.director Douglas Crocker II is retiring from the board in line with the company'sdirector retirement policy.

The company said Crocker will not stand for re-election to itsboard at its 2016 annual stockholder meeting scheduled for May 10. His retirementwill become effective as of May 9, the day before the annual meeting, accordingto a March 29 filing.

Crocker has been Ventas' presidingdirector since 2003. He has chaired the board's investment committeeand has also served on the audit, compensation and executive committees.
