Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation Inc. agreed to acquire the private Israeli-based cybersecurity company Avnet Data Security Ltd.

The industrial automation firm expects the acquisition to support its objective to develop its cybersecurity strategies and expand its cyber and network profile.

The deal is expected to close in early 2020, subject to customary approvals and conditions.

The transaction is not expected to materially affect Rockwell Automation's 2020 financial results.
