Former Merrill Lynch adviser launches independent advisory firm

Financial adviser Miguel Sosa partnered with tolaunch Premia Global Advisors LLC, a Coral Gables, Fla.-based independentadvisory firm focused on working with high-net-worth families and institutions,according to an April 5 news release.

Sosa left Merrill Lynch Private Bank and Investment Group,where he previously had responsibility for managing more than $400 million inclient assets.

Joining Sosa at Premia are Juan Landivar, manager offinancial planning, and Eddy Park, client relationship manager, both fromMerrill Lynch. Vivian Velazquez has joined the firm as chief compliance officer.

Premia has selected Fidelity Investments to custody theiradvisory assets.

In addition, Dynasty Financial Partners announced thatJavier Rivero is joining the firm as senior vice president for theinternational division. He will be based in Dynasty's new office in CoralGables. He is joining Dynasty after serving as president of

Additionally, Dynasty entered into an agreement with GlobalInvestor Services LC in Miami to provide broker/dealer services for its partnerfirms which include custody, through its clearing agreement with Pershing LLC,a Bank of New York subsidiary, back office and trading solutions. Sosa,Landivar and Park are all registered representatives of Global InvestorServices and work out of the Global Investor Services branch in Coral Gables.
