Hong Kong-based jewelry retailer Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Ltd teamed up with U.S. bridal wear company Vera Wang Group to make a fine jewelry collection that "will cater to the modern Chinese bride," according to an Oct. 11 announcement.

The new collection, named Vera Wang Love, will feature gold and platinum engagement rings and wedding bands, as well as fine fashion jewelry that uses precious stones and metals, at a starting price of $400 for fine jewelry items.

The collection will be launched Oct. 19 at Chow Tai Fook stores in Shanghai and will expand into other cities including Beijing, Chengdu and Hong Kong.
