Digiliti exploring bankruptcy, restructuring

Digiliti Money Group Inc. announced that it is exploring options to restructure, sell or file for bankruptcy after learning that a financing opportunity for its immediate cash needs was no longer certain.

The company also disclosed that its board has launched an internal investigation regarding "very recently discovered information" that might require it to restate previously reported financial results.

It's accountant notified the company that reliance should not be placed on its report relating to Digiliti's consolidated financial statements for the year ended Dec. 31, 2016, and their interim review for the period ended March 31. The accounting company has withdrawn its audit reports for Digiliti's consolidated statements for fiscal year 2016 and revoked its consent to incorporate the reports in any and all registration statements.

Digiliti expects to seek an extension for filing its quarterly report for the three-month period ending June 30.

The company on Aug. 4 raised doubts about its ability to stay in business following a contract termination.
