SBA Communications Corp. appointed Fidelma Russo to its board as an independent director, effective Jan. 1, 2020, expanding the communications-focused real estate investment trust's board to nine members.

Russo is chief technology officer and executive vice president of digital services at Iron Mountain Inc.
