International Lithium Corp. and Pioneer Resources Ltd. have expanded their Mavis lithium-tantalum project in Canada with the staking of three claims to the west.
The 640 hectares, which will be known as Mavis West, lie along trend of the high-grade lithium spodumene pegmatites adjacent to the Mavis project, according to an Oct. 11 statement.
International Lithium and Pioneer are undertaking a 58-kilometer ground magnetic survey and sampling program at Mavis West to define the continuation of the prime pegmatite corridor.
The companies will then move to the Raleigh project to undertake a sampling program to refine drill targets.
