Royal Dutch Shell PLC has completed a 27-MWp solar park at its Shell Moerdijk Chemical Plant in Netherlands.
The project, featuring 76,000 panels, will help power operations at the chemical plant, according to a March 14 news release.
"Developing this solar power plant in Moerdijk fits within Shell's ambition to play an active role in the Dutch energy transition," said Marjan van Loon, president-director of Shell Nederland. "We are eager to limit emissions through energy efficiency improvements of our processes and investments in new energy activities."
