Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd. said its second-half normalized net income amounted to 24 Australian cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 26 cents per share.
EPS climbed 9.2% year over year from 22 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$186.1 million, an increase of 9.2% from A$170.5 million in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased year over year to A$2.65 billion from A$2.62 billion, and total operating expenses climbed from the prior-year period to A$2.31 billion from A$2.28 billion.
Reported net income grew year over year to A$209.5 million, or 27 cents per share, from A$89.8 million, or 12 cents per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 46 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 50 cents.
EPS rose 5.7% from 43 cents in the prior year.
Normalized net income was A$349.0 million, a gain of 5.7% from A$330.3 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased from the prior-year period to A$5.11 billion from A$4.96 billion, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to A$4.46 billion from A$4.31 billion.
The company said reported net income rose 44.6% on an annual basis to A$393.4 million, or 52 cents per share, in the full year, from A$272.1 million, or 36 cents per share.
