NewRiver REIT replaces chairman

NewRiver REIT PLC appointed Margaret Ford as chairman of the company, effective Oct. 1, after present Chairman Paul Roy announced that he would not stand for re-election at the 2019 annual general meeting.

Ford joined the company in September 2017 as senior independent nonexecutive director. She had previously served as chairman of Grainger PLC and as nonexecutive director of Segro PLC and Taylor Wimpey PLC.

Roy has served as chairman since the company's foundation in 2009.

The company also appointed nonexecutive director Alastair Miller to replace Ford as senior independent nonexecutive director. Miller joined the U.K. real estate investment trust in January 2016.

NewRiver REIT has commenced a search for a new nonexecutive director, it said in a release.
