Honeywell to invest in Chinese supply chain software developer

Honeywell International Inc. said it has agreed to acquire 25% of warehouse management and supply chain software developer FLUX Information Technology Co. Ltd.

FLUX's software capabilities in the areas of warehouse, transportation management and order management will be integrated into Honeywell's Connected Supply Chain strategy, complementing Honeywell's Intelligrated business in the areas of data capture technology, worker productivity and warehouse automation solutions.

Honeywell also announced that it is forming a joint venture with the founder of FLUX in a bid to serve customers outside China, specifically in the Asia-Pacific region. The industrial conglomerate said it will hold a 75% stake in the new joint venture.

The company's investment in FLUX is expected to close by the end of the fourth quarter pending approvals from Chinese regulators.
