Shepherd Neame fiscal H1 profit climbs 5.5% YOY

Shepherd Neame Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 26, 2015, was 21 Great British pence per share, an increase of 5.3% from 20 pence per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £3.1 million, a gain of 5.5% from £3.0 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue came to £73.7 million, compared with £73.5 million in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses totaled £66.6 million, compared with £66.6 million in the prior-year period.

Reported net income grew 99.5% year over year to £7.7 million, or 52 pence per share, from £3.9 million, or 26 pence per share.
