affiliateDrummond Ltd. is setto begin negotiations with the five existing unions in its workforce on theweek of April 11 in Santa Maria, Colombia, with the aim of signing of acollective labor agreement under each one of them that is beneficial to allparties involved.
UnionsSintramineros, Sintradrummond and Agretritrenes have already had the chance topresent their bills of petitions, according to an April 7 news release.Drummond also invited Sintramienergetica and Sintradem to join the talks inorder to facilitate a unity of negotiations and have the agreement fall underits set timelines.
Sintramienergeticahas yet to present its bill of petition while Sintradem still has a collectiveclaim with the company that is pending resolution under the arbitration of atribunal.
Accordingto the company, despite having no majority union at present, 60.92% of itsemployees are currently unionized.
