Liberty Specialty Markets Ltd. has completed the redomicilation of its European insurance company, Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe SE, to Luxembourg ahead of the U.K.'s planned departure from the European Union.

The company opened its new headquarters in the city and will maintain its branches in the U.K., Continental Europe and the Middle East.

The Luxembourg-based company will be headed by Dirk Billemon, Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe's general manager.
