Pental fiscal H1 profit climbs 7.1% YOY

Pental Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 27, 2015, amounted to 1 Australian cents per share, a decline from 1 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$1.9 million, an increase of 7.1% from A$1.8 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined on an annual basis to A$39.3 million from A$40.1 million, and total operating expenses declined from the prior-year period to A$36.3 million from A$37.2 million.

Reported net income grew 12.0% on an annual basis to A$2.0 million, or 1 cents per share, from A$1.8 million, or 1 cents per share.
