EDP Renewables closes sale of tax equity interest in Ohio wind farm

EDP Renewables North America LLC closed the sale of tax equity interests in the 100.8-MW Paulding III wind facility in Paulding County, Ohio, to Bankers Commercial Corp. and Antrim Corp. or their affiliates.

Output from the wind farm will be purchased by Amazon.com Inc. affiliate Amazon Energy LLC under a 12-year power contract. EDP Renwables, a subsidiary of EDP Renováveis, will continue to manage day-to-day operations in the facility.

Bankers Commercial is a nonbank subsidiary of MUFG Americas Holdings Corp. and ultimately owned by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. Antrim is a subsidiary of State Street Bank and Trust Co. and ultimately owned by State Street Corp.

The parties completed the transaction Dec. 13. (FERC docket EC16-195)
