Former Schlumberger CEO elected to Borr Drilling's board

Bermuda-based Borr Drilling Ltd. said Pål Kibsgaard was elected as a director following the company's annual general meeting held Sept. 27.

Kibsgaard, the former CEO and chairman of the board of oilfield service giant Schlumberger Ltd., replaces Fredrik Halvorsen as a board member after latter decided to step down effective Sept. 1.

The company, in an Aug. 22 release, recommended Kibsgaard as chairman of the board. Kibsgaard stepped down as Schlumberger's CEO and chairman, effective Aug. 1.
