Jumbo Group fiscal Q2 profit climbs 26.0% YOY

Jumbo Group Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended March 31 was S$4.1 million, a gain of 26.0% from S$3.3 million in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin rose to 10.3% from 9.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 18.5% year over year to S$39.6 million from S$33.4 million, and total operating expenses climbed 17.8% from the prior-year period to S$34.3 million from S$29.1 million.

Reported net income rose 49.4% year over year to S$5.8 million, or 1 cents per share, from S$3.9 million, or 1 cents per share.
