Assurant Inc. appointed Paul Cosgrove president of its Canadian operations, effective immediately.

Cosgrove will succeed Robert Zanussi, who is retiring as president and CEO for Canada. Zanussi will remain with the company through Jan. 30 to assist with the transition.

Previously, Cosgrove was vice president of business development and client management.
