Cosmo Lady Holdings H1 profit falls YOY

Cosmo Lady (China) Holdings Co. Ltd. said its first-half normalized net income was 8 fen per share, a decrease of 34.4% from 12 fen per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 147.0 million yuan, a decrease of 34.5% from 224.3 million yuan in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue came to 2.21 billion yuan, compared with 2.21 billion yuan in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses rose 7.0% on an annual basis to 1.99 billion yuan from 1.86 billion yuan.

Reported net income decreased 35.6% year over year to 174.0 million yuan, or 9 fen per share, from 270.4 million yuan, or 14 fen per share.

As of Sept. 2, US$1 was equivalent to 6.68 yuan.
