Honda Motor Co. Ltd. will recall 336,468 CR-V vehicles sold in the U.S. over an incorrect description of "Passenger Airbag Off" indicator in the user manual, according to documents from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Starting Nov. 15, Honda's U.S. arm, American Honda Motor Co. Inc., is expected to notify owners of the affected 2019 CR-V vehicles and provide a sticker with the correct information, which will be added free of charge to the user's guide, according to the NHTSA's letter to Honda.
"If the front passenger does not correctly understand how the airbag functions, they may be at an increased risk of personal injury in the event of a crash," the NHTSA said in a letter to Honda that summarizes an earlier report by the company.
