Theta Gold Mines buys ball mill at 5.5M rand for namesake project

Theta Gold Mines Ltd. said Oct. 2 that it has agreed to purchase a secondhand 2.5 megawatt ball mill last operated by Glencore PLC for the Theta gold project in South Africa.

The mill can process up to 820,000 tonnes per annum, and was bought for 5.5 million South African rand.

The mill is set for dismantling and is expected to arrive in the town of Pilgrims Rest before January 2020.

In July, the company aimed to raise A$8 million from a placement, the proceeds of which will be used for the development of the Theta project.
