Bytom Q3 profit climbs YOY

Bytom S.A. said its normalized net income for the third quarter came to 3 groszy per share, an increase from 3 groszy per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.8 million zlotys, an increase from 1.8 million zlotys in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 5.1% from 5.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 11.1% year over year to 35.9 million zlotys from 32.3 million zlotys, and total operating expenses increased 14.4% from the prior-year period to 33.3 million zlotys from 29.1 million zlotys.

Reported net income rose 51.1% year over year to 4.3 million zlotys, or 6 groszy per share, from 2.9 million zlotys, or 4 groszy per share.

As of Nov. 3, US$1 was equivalent to 3.90 zlotys.
