Aomori Bank cancels new share issuance plan

Aomori Bank Ltd. has canceled a planned issuance of new common shares.

The decision follows concern by the bank that the share issuance plan was leaked before the official announcement on Oct. 3, which means that those were received insider information could have benefitted if the issue had gone through.

The bank had said Oct. 3 that it would issue 2.61 million common shares to meet Basel capital requirements.
