Soundcloud launches paid service in UK, Ireland

Music streaming service Soundcloud has launched asubscription-based version called Soundcloud Go in the and Ireland, BBC News reported May 3.

The service reportedly costs £9.99 per month, and has adownload function for offline listening.

Users in both countries will still be able to access thesubscription-free Soundcloud version, inclusive of advertisements, according tothe report.

Musicians such as Lily Allen, Miley Cyrus, Kanye West andDrake have previously premiered tracks or works in progress via Soundcloud.

Soundcloud Go will later be expanded to other Europeanterritories.
