Sanoh Industrial fiscal Q3 profit climbs 7.7% YOY

Sanoh Industrial Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥27.26 per share, a gain of 7.7% from ¥25.30 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥992.3 million, an increase of 7.7% from ¥921.0 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 3.0% from 3.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 27.6% year over year to ¥32.57 billion from ¥25.53 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 24.7% from the prior-year period to ¥30.65 billion from ¥24.58 billion.

Reported net income decreased 19.1% from the prior-year period to ¥746.0 million, or ¥20.50 per share, from ¥922.0 million, or ¥25.33 per share.

As of Feb. 6, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.01.
