SunTrust Banks Inc. named Mark Chancy and Hugh Cummins III co-COOs, effective Feb. 13.

Chancy, who has served as the company's vice chairman and as consumer segment executive responsible for the consumer, private wealth management and mortgage businesses, takes on oversight of marketing and data and analytics.

Cummins, who has been corporate executive vice president and wholesale segment executive with responsibility for corporate and investment banking, commercial and business banking, treasury and payment solutions and commercial real estate banking, takes on oversight of the SunTrust efficiency office and procurement.

SunTrust additionally said Aleem Gillani is retiring as corporate executive vice president and CFO, effective March 31. Gillani will stay on to assist in the succession by L. Allison Dukes. Dukes has been head of commercial and business banking.

Lastly, Thomas Freeman will be retiring as corporate executive vice president and efficiency and strategic partnerships executive.
