Santee Cooper to issue $831.4M worth of revenue bonds

Santee Cooper plans to issue about $831.4 million worth ofdebt to fundconstruction of the V.C.Summer nuclear expansion project in Jenkinsville, S.C., among otherthings.

The company, known legally as ,filed an offering circular to issue $508.7 million worth of series B tax-exemptrefunding and improvement bonds and $322.7 million worth of series D taxablebonds.

The series B bonds offer an interest rate of 5% while theseries D bonds offer an interest rate of 2.388%; interest is payablesemiannually starting Dec. 1 of this year.

Barclays Capital Inc., Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner &Smith Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, J. P. MorganSecurities LLC, US Bancorp and Wells Fargo Bank NA are serving as underwritersof the issue.
