Ichimasa Kamaboko Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 30 came to a loss of ¥12.15 per share, compared with a loss of ¥1.25 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥225.0 million, compared with a loss of ¥23.1 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to negative 3.1% from negative 0.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 5.0% year over year to ¥7.24 billion from ¥6.89 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 10.1% from the prior-year period to ¥7.62 billion from ¥6.92 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥212.0 million, or a loss of ¥11.44 per share, compared to income of ¥14.0 million, or 76 sen per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
