Macau Theme Park and Resort Ltd. will develop a HK$5 billion resort covering 106,015 square meters of space in Cotai, Macau, that is scheduled to open in 2020.

The Lisboeta integrated resort project will span 141,035 square meters of gross floor area, with 15,000 square meters of space allotted for parking area and about 20,000 square meters of open space reserved for the future development of an outdoor theme park.

The project will also feature three hotel brands with a collective 820 rooms, entertainment and leisure facilities, and various retail offerings.

According to an Oct. 19 report from The (Hong Kong) Standard, there will be no casino in the resort, but Macau Theme Park director Arnaldo Ho Yau-heng was cited by the publication as saying that casinos might be incorporated in the development in the future, depending on the government's interest and demand from the gambling industry.
