Eslite Spectrum Q1 profit climbs 18.2% YOY

Eslite Spectrum Corp. said its first-quarter normalized net income came to NT$1.83 per share, an increase of 18.2% from NT$1.54 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$86.6 million, a gain of 18.2% from NT$73.2 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 9.7% from 8.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to NT$895.7 million from NT$866.3 million, and total operating expenses came to NT$773.3 million, compared with NT$772.6 million in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income increased 14.8% from the prior-year period to NT$108.4 million, or NT$2.29 per share, from NT$94.4 million, or NT$1.99 per share.
