Gold Resource's El Aguila mine in Mexico connects to new power grid

The power line of Gold Resource Corp.'s El Aguila gold-silver mine in Mexico is now linked to a new local power grid, having previously generated electricity using diesel fuel.

Gold Resource said March 20 that the new Federal Electricity Commission connection will cut carbon emissions from the operation by over 90 tonnes.

The El Aguila mine produced 26,838 ounces of gold and 1.7 million ounces of silver in 2018.
