China Shenhua Energy Co. Ltd.'s commercial coal output rose 3.8% year over year to 221.3 million tonnes in the first nine months of the year, the company said Oct. 16.

Meanwhile, coal sales jumped 13.9% to 328.3 million tonnes, mainly due to a year-over-year increase in downstream demand for coal.
