General Electric Co. named Alec Burger president of GE Capital, reporting to GE CFO Jamie Miller, effective Jan. 2, 2018.
Burger, who will continue to serve as president and CEO of GE Capital Aviation Services, will succeed Richard Laxer, who will retire from GE on March 31, 2018, after 33 years at the company.
Meanwhile, Alex Dimitrief became senior vice president and president and CEO for the Global Growth Organization, reporting to GE Chairman and CEO John Flannery.
Dimitrief, who is currently GE's general counsel, succeeds John Rice, GE vice chairman, who announced his retirement from the company earlier this year. Dimitrief will continue to serve as the general counsel for GE until his replacement is found.
