Ground fall incident kills Harmony Gold worker at Tshepong

Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd. said Dec. 7 that a Dec. 5 incident related to a ground fall at its Tshepong gold mine in South Africa killed one of its employees.

An investigation into the incident is underway, and challenging conditions continue to hamper efforts to recover the miner's body.

In late November, Harmony Gold reported the death of another employee in a similar incident at its Masimong gold mine, part of the Free State operations.
