Minotaur Exploration Ltd. promoted Roger Higgins to nonexecutive chairman, effective immediately.

According to a Jan. 31 statement, Higgins joined the company's board in July 2016 as a nonexecutive director and concurrently holds positions in Newcrest Mining Ltd., Metminco Ltd. and Ok Tedi Mining Ltd.

Minotaur Exploration also appointed George McKenzie as nonexecutive director. He is a councilor of the South Australian Chamber of Mines and Energy and a solicitor member of the Minerals and Energy Advisory Council.
