Lamdong Foodstuffs Q2 profit climbs YOY

Lamdong Foodstuffs JSC said its second-quarter normalized net income was 234.41 dong per share, a gain from 98.01 dong per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 3.43 billion dong, an increase from 1.44 billion dong in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 4.4% from 2.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 15.4% on an annual basis to 76.62 billion dong from 66.37 billion dong, and total operating expenses increased 11.6% on an annual basis to 70.95 billion dong from 63.56 billion dong.

Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to 3.75 billion dong, or 256.45 dong per share, from 1.49 billion dong, or 101.89 dong per share.

As of Aug. 20, US$1 was equivalent to 22,395 dong.
