NOK Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥106.07 per share, a gain from ¥48.99 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥18.32 billion, a gain from ¥8.45 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 9.2% from 5.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 26.3% on an annual basis to ¥199.56 billion from ¥158.03 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 19.6% from the prior-year period to ¥175.12 billion from ¥146.41 billion.
Reported net income grew year over year to ¥20.85 billion, or ¥120.70 per share, from ¥9.57 billion, or ¥55.48 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
